Missed appointments: Nearly a third of Americans have skipped health-care appointments in the last three months over concerns about cost — a figure which has tripled since March, according to a survey from Gallup and West Health.
- Nearly 1 in 5 adults say that a health problem has worsened due to postponing care because of cost. Even wealthier Americans are skipping care: Some 20 percent of people from households making over $120,000 say they have postponed care in the past three months due to cost.
