We’re proud to announce the launch of The West Health Accelerator at Duke-Margolis, a bold new initiative designed to advance the next generation of accountable care in the United States. Building on years of collaboration and a shared commitment to improving cost, quality, and access in healthcare, this partnership brings together national leaders to drive smarter, more coordinated, and outcomes-focused care.
The Accelerator was born out of a longstanding collaboration between the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy and West Health to advance accountable, value-based care. Since 2018, the two organizations have combined Duke-Margolis’ deep policy expertise with West Health’s practical experience in care delivery and innovation to address some of the most pressing barriers to sustainable health reform. The Accelerator represents the next phase of this partnership — transforming their collective insights into action by strengthening the infrastructure, evidence, and alignment needed to scale accountable care models that improve outcomes and reduce costs across the health system.
Collaborative teams of experts from West Health and Duke-Margolis will work side by side to strengthen Medicare accountable care, improve care for older adults, advance brain health, and integrate transformative therapies. Bringing together policy leaders, researchers, and innovators, the Accelerator will unite diverse perspectives to turn evidence into action—aligning innovation, practice, and policy to transform care delivery nationwide.
We’re just getting started, and the work ahead is full of promise.
