Telehealth has become a vital tool in delivering mental health care, particularly for individuals with employer-sponsored insurance. This issue brief, developed in partnership with the Health Care Cost Institute, analyzes trends from 2018-2022, highlighting the sustained use of telehealth beyond the pandemic, demographic patterns in utilization, and geographic disparities in access. With therapy services making up the majority of telehealth claims and costs remaining comparable to in-person care, these findings underscore the ongoing importance of telehealth in expanding mental health support.
