Our Story

Gary and Mary West are pioneering philanthropists who established the Gary and Mary West Foundation in 2006. The Foundation was established to provide outcomes-based funding to organizations and entities that enable successful aging in America.

With applied medical research addressing the cost of healthcare and improving healthcare delivery in homes, hospitals, and community-based organizations, the West Health Institute is advancing high-quality, lower-cost models of care for seniors.

The West Health Policy Center is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, focused on lowering healthcare costs to enable successful aging and inform state and federal public policy decisions with insightful research, expert analysis, and evidence-based education and outreach.

West Health continues its work with nonprofit groups and organizations aligned with its successful aging mission.
